A change deployed to our FairPlay license service caused a subset of license requests to be rejected with an HDCP enforcement error. We detected the issue through monitoring and rolled back the deployment. License issuance returned to normal at 06:51 UTC.
The impact was limited to a small number of iOS client license requests between 06:30 and 06:51 UTC. Other DRM technologies and client platforms operated normally.
The cause has been identified and corrected. The change will be re-verified in our test environments before it is redeployed.
